The Fundamentals of Craps

Players bet on the results of the two six-sided dice that are used in the game of online craps. "Shooter" is the term for the player who throws the dice.
Following every new round, the following will take place:

  • The shooter chooses which 2 dice to roll;
  • The shooter can make one of two Pass Line bets – Pass and Don’t Pass – while the other players make their own bets;
  • The round begins with the shooter rolling the dice, with the first roll commonly known as Come Out roll.

The Roll of Coming Out

When players begin a new round of Craps, they can place bets such as the Come-Out roll. The sum that appears on the two dice after rolling determines whether to pass or not. The Pass bet wins the round if the total comes out to be either 7 or 11. The Pass line loses the round and the Don't Pass line either wins or pays the player back if the come-out roll totals 2, 3, or 12, sometimes referred to as "craps." This occurs in virtual casinos where 12 is thought to be a tie. The round concludes with the come-out role results.

If the come-out roll comes up 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10, the player will receive that number as a point, and the dealer will then mark that particular number on the virtual table. Rolling the dice once more, the shooter attempts to roll a point value. Those that bet on the Pass line win while the others lose if they roll the point total. The round ends and those who bet on Don't Pass win if a standard 7 is rolled. The player keeps rolling in all other scenarios until something happens.
