On Saturday, police reported that a woman was arrested for attacking two state troopers from Pennsylvania, an employee of a casino, and a helpful bystander at the Hollywood Casino at The Meadows.
Kaleigh McManus, 33, from New Haven, Conn., was arrested and faced charges for aggravated assault, resisting arrest, simple assault, harassment, and disorderly conduct.
According to Pennsylvania TV station WHTM, she was taken into custody at the Washington County jail. She was freed from detention after paying a $2,000 bond. Local prosecutors took over her case.
The event started when McManus entered a restricted area at the Washington, Pa. gaming venue, where she was then approached by a casino employee. McManus then reportedly struck the worker in the face.
The kind Samaritan witnessed the attack and also moved towards McManus. McManus reportedly struck that individual twice in the face.
As McManus attempted to escape the casino through an emergency exit, she was intercepted by security personnel.
According to police, two state troopers tried to apprehend her, but she retaliated by assaulting them too. Ultimately, she was taken into custody.
There were no serious injuries reported in the incident.
Montana Casino Location of Fatal Shooting
This week, a man was recognized following his shooting and death outside a bar and gaming venue in Billings, Montana, on Thursday.
Marshall William Wilson, 46, was determined to have died from gunfire following an autopsy conducted by the Yellowstone County Coroner’s Office. According to authorities, two additional patrons at the casino — a male and a female — were hurt by gunfire, but they are anticipated to recover.
The altercation started with a disagreement that resulted in Wilson shooting a 38-year-old woman and a 42-year-old man in a parking lot.
The woman drew her own gun and tried to shoot Wilson. According to authorities, a 25-year-old bystander who saw the shooting shot and fatally struck Wilson. The identity of that shooter remains unknown.
According to the Montana TV station KTVQ, Wilson passed away at the location.
Authorities were alerted regarding the shooting at 1:52 a.m. on Thursday. As of the weekend, there were no arrests made.
Billings Police Chief Rich St. John informed KTVQ that the man, aged 25, who shot Wilson might face charges. As of Tuesday, the police were still looking into the shootings.
Authorities stated that none of the individuals involved in the shootings were acquainted prior to the conflict arising.
